DosMalbec that´s us "dos" - us two: the Alessandro Speri Malbec Classico 2004 and the Gimenez Riili Perpetuum Malbec 2006.
With the intention of demonstrating the excellent quality of Argentine wine to the European market we made a start with these two fantastic Malbecs and founded DosMalbec Wine Import in mid 2007.
Meanwhile, we provide an interesting array of Argentine wines for the on and off trade each of whom we offer a tailor made service solution such as direct import, distribution to restaurants and companies etc. Our wines are carefully chosen from small to medium sized family wineries which are still considered as little jewels even in Argentina. For us, outstanding quality, individuality and the stories that every bottle has to "tell" are in the centre of attention.
DosMalbec founder Julia Merkel comes from the hotel business and is a trained sommelier. It´s during her four year stay in Buenos Aires and Mendoza where she connected with the local wine industry in Argentina. After stations at the "Escuela Argentina de Vino", the Hotel Intercontinental Buenos Aires and "The Vines of Mendoza Tasting Room" she sees herself as an ambassador of Argentine wine back in her home country Germany. Out of the warehouse in Düsseldorf DosMalbec offers innovative distribution proposals and active marketing support for all Europe.
